About Our Program...

Nor'West Early Learning and Child Care Centre has been providing “early learning experiences and childcare” services in the Inkster community and beyond for over 32 years. Our trained childcare professionals ensure quality care is given to all children by providing a positive, safe and loving environment.

Seeking To Promote...

Healthy child development in preschool children, so the foundation to life long learning is greatly enhanced. There are 5 main areas we focus on when activities are presented to children:

  1. Fine/gross Motor: The muscles in hands arms legs; balance; eye-hand coordination

  2. Language: Learning new words and their meanings; identifying letters & words, reading

  3. Cognitive: Learning new concepts such as colors, math, science, social studies

  4. Social-Emotional: What are feelings, putting words to and expressing feelings, problem solving, sharing, cooperation

  5. Self-help skills: Dressing/undressing self, feeding self, serving self/others

Our Services Include... Full time care

Learning Areas:

The center is divided into mini areas which will provide opportunities for children to explore and learn about the world around them. These learning areas may include:

•Dramatic Play

•Creative Expression (Art)

•Manipulative/Block

•Science/Math

•Library/Language

•Gym/Outdoors

•Music

•Computer/Technology


Nutrition:

We believe that the foundation to healthy child development begins with good nutrition. At the center we provide daily:

•2 nutritious snacks


Eligibility:

Nor'West Early Learning and Childcare Centre is a “culturally diverse” centre which provides services to:

•Children 12 months to 12 years

•Children with special needs (in consultation with Children Special Services, Child Development Clinic and/or the Child Day Care Coordinator)

•Children referred by Child and Family Services

•All Children regardless of culture, beliefs or abilities


Government subsidy is available to families who qualify. Subsidy application forms can be requested:
