Nor'West requires a full time Social Worker for an indefinite term to provide youth counselling and programming opportunities. Must be able to work early evenings and Saturdays.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Social Work
- Experience in counselling individual youth or family
- Knowledge of community resources and community development principles and practices
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to work well within an interdiscplinary team in a variety of settings
- Skills in leadership development and group facilitation

Nor'West is hiring a LEGAL ASSISTANT
Part time 20 hours per week
This position provides support to a full time lawyer, primarily in the family law area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recognized Legal Assistant Program
- Two years experience in office procedures, typing, filing, phone reception, use of office and business machines such as Fax, photocopier, postal etc.
- Typing skills a minimum of 50 WPM and computer literacy in Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook
- Experience working with trascription or dictation an asset
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all Nor'West staff and clients
- Able to take instruction and use own initiative whenever necessary
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment is essential
- Office related organizational ability
- Child abuse and criminal records check required
DUTIES:
- Administrative/Reception
- Clerical/Typing Support
- Receives and forwards all telephone and voice mail messages to staff
- Prepares daily appointment schedules, prepares client files and encounter documents, and reschedules appointments when necessary
- Responding to enquiries
- Generating all required legal documents, including affidavits
- Dictation duties
- Maintaining files
- Organizing lawyer's schedule
- Participation in various meetings, committees, and developmental opportunities
- Follow established procedures for screening telephone calls for security reasons
- Holds confidential all personal information as per informanagement policies
- Other duties as assigned
